Database Analyst 2 Job Announcement
1 Full Time position available – Open until Filled

SUMMARY
The responsibility of the Database Analyst II is to support Three Rivers Casino and Hotel in its efforts to leverage customer information to drive more informed business decisions. The business analyst will utilize strong analytical, quantitative and research skills to support Three Rivers Casino and Hotel consumer and online marketing function (as well as the finance area where appropriate). S/he will use the company’s internal transactional data, including web analytics to develop statistical analysis including data mining, model building, reporting and other ad hoc analytic work. Primary responsibilities and job functions are included in Job Description which is available in Human Resources upon request.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
 Must be at least 21 years of age.
 Bachelor’s degree (BA) from an accredited academic institution, a minimum of two-three years experience in database administration using SQL Server 2000-2008 is required.
 Certifications in programming, database and network administration preferred.
 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
 Apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations.
 Apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
 Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
 Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
 Strong customer service skills.
 Excellent organizational skills.
 Comfortable with database analysis and design
 Ability to understand the needs of business and how data information transformations can best address those needs
 Knowledge of data warehouse and analysis cube design
 Thorough knowledge of processes needed to integrate data from various sources (SQL Server, Flat files, Excel, Sybase, MySQL, Oracle) into the Microsoft Business Intelligence stack
 Thorough knowledge of
 SQL Server Integration Services
 SQL Server Analysis Services
 SQL Server Reporting Services
 Preferred certifications:
 Microsoft Certified IT Professional – Database Developer
 Microsoft Certified IT Professional – Database Administration (this certification supersedes the DBA cert)
 Ability to independently analyze, trouble shoot and resolve problems.
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
 In-depth knowledge of personal computer hardware and software.
 Mandatory: Knowledge of SQL programming language.
 Mandatory: Knowledge of enterprise level relational database systems.
 Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
 This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal history background check which may include fingerprinting.
 Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
 Must receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the Tribal Gaming Commission.
 Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS
 Must be able to sit and type long periods of time.
 Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
 Must be able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.
 Specific vision abilities required by this position including close vision, and ability to adjust and focus.
 This is a 24/7 operation that may require on-call or overtime.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
 The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
 The work environment is characterized as an office setting, where computers and standard office equipment will be supplied and used as a part of the job.
 Must be able to work in a non smoke-free environment.
 Ability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events.
