What to See in Oregon

As Oregonians, we consider ourselves lucky living in a place where there is always so much to do—but for visitors, it can be tricky to figure out just what to see in Oregon. Here’s a list of some of the best-kept secrets of the Oregon coast.

Kentucky Falls is an absolute must-see. In one hike, you’ll see not one, not two, but three gorgeous waterfalls. Start at the Upper Kentucky Falls and make your way down to the side-by-side twin waterfalls, Lower Kentucky Falls and North Folk Falls. We promise—unless you’ve visited this area before—you haven’t seen anything like it. The falls are located a few miles outside of Florence. It’s a moderately difficult hike and is one of the most beautiful sights in the state.

Just outside of Yachats, you’ll find the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. It’s a unique combination of forest and sea, all in one view. If you’re looking for what to see in Oregon, make sure you add this stop to your list; it’s one of our favorite scenic areas on the coast.

For some of us, what to see in Oregon isn’t enough—we are also looking for what to do! To get the best of both worlds, stop by the North Jetty beach area in Florence. It’s great for diving and is a favorite spot for local surfers. There are several camping areas, and a sandy beach that runs a few miles along the coastline. Just make sure to check the surf forecast before you get out on the water!

These are just a few of the best things to see at the Oregon coast. For a longer list of our recommendations, or to book your stay in Florence, contact us today.
